The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office has released few details in the arrest of one of its own.
A deputy was arrested on Dec. 8, 2023, in Pensacola, Florida, according to the sheriff's office. The deputy was charged with grand theft auto and was immediately placed on paid leave.
After an investigation by the Professional Standards division, the deputy was placed on unpaid leave beginning December 22.
The sheriff's office did not release the name of the deputy but said the personnel and disciplinary portion of the investigation is ongoing.
They stressed the deputy was off-duty at the time of his arrest.
Pensacola Police said they will look into the matter and release more information if possible.
