Former President Donald Trump became the latest public figure to congratulate U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) for maintaining his hold on military promotions while successfully forcing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to consider them individually.

"BIG WIN FOR TOMMY," Trump posted on Truth Social. "Unlike McConnell and his group of automatic Democrat YES VOTES, Tommy T is willing to take on the Radical Left Fascists & Thugs that are destroying our Country. What a difference!"

U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) and Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) were among the many other lawmakers who also backed up Tuberville in his recent head-to-head with Schumer.

"As I've said previously, Senator Schumer has the power to schedule votes on each of these nominees," Britt said. "Today's move only confirms this has been true all along."

"Schumer could have approved every military nominee by scheduling votes over the last several months, but he cared more about funding abortion travel than military readiness," Moore said. "Major win for Sen Tuberville!"
