According to court documents, a former school guidance counselor previously arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a student had her bond revoked after texting a child.
Jessica Brannon Herb, 39, of Jacksonville, is charged with two counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student under 19. Herb was the guidance counselor at Ashville High School.
After she was arrested, Herb posted a bond and was released on conditions. However, court documents show she texted a minor, which is a violation of her bond.
"The Court is informed that the Defendant has violated the terms and conditions bond by having unsupervised contact with a child under the age of 18," a court order reads. "Motion of state to revoke bond is granted."
Once she is re-arrested, Herb will stay behind bars until the next hearing in the case. The case involving a student has been waived to the grand jury.
