U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) will be in New Orleans on Sunday with President Donald Trump to watch Super Bowl LIX.

Alabama's junior U.S. Senator will travel from Washington, D.C., on Air Force One with several other Republican lawmakers to join Trump as he marks the first time a sitting President has attended a Super Bowl when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

“It’s an honor to join President Trump today as he becomes the first sitting President to attend a Super Bowl," Britt told 1819 News. "This historic occasion is a tremendous reminder of what makes our nation exceptional—faith, family, and freedom. We’re grateful for the American servicemembers and law enforcement officers whose courage and selfless service year-round make moments like this possible.”

Britt and her husband Wesley, a former NFL offensive lineman, were also recently with Trump in Mar-a-Lago.

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) will also attend the game with the President.
