What better combination of experiences in one festival?

The sound and sight of a realistic and respectful Jimmy Buffett tribute band playing The Coral Reefers playlist.  ULA.

The party goes on.

New Orleans-style crawfish.

We got crawfish and mangos

Calypso and tangos.

Shrimp boil with Zatarain’s.

Smell those shrimp, they’re beginning to boil.

Cheeseburgers in Paradise.

I like mine with lettuce and tomato. Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes.

It’s all on Friday, April 5 at The Venue in Northport, adjacent to Tuscaloosa.

Tickets can be found here.

Gate opens at 2 p.m. Opening acts at 3 p.m.  Crawfish, shrimp and cheeseburgers at 4 p.m.  ULA Tribute Band is after a few Margaritas.

The Venue is even a dog-friendly venue. Dogs don’t need a ticket to get in.

Jimmy Buffett was a big dog lover. His favorite breed was Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Buffett made a video promoting dog adoption shortly before his death:

ULA is an Alabama-based Buffett tribute band. That’s altogether fitting, as Jimmy Buffett was raised in Mobile and started his music there.

Here is a video of ULA live:

ULA’s song list sounds familiar:

Five O’clock Somewhere
Changes in Latitudes
Cheeseburger in Paradise
Boat Drinks
Pirate Looks at 40
Why Don’t We Get Drunk and Screw?
Scarlet Begonias
Son of Sailor
One Particular Harbor
Introduction of Special Guest Zack Brown
Chicken Fried
Jimmy Buffett Returns
Pascagoula Run
Havana Day Dreaming
Tampico Trauma
Bama Breeze
Coconut Telegraph
Come Monday
Pencil Thin Mustache
Only Time Will Tell

Look at the photo of the ULA Tribute Band.  Which one looks like Michael Utley (Mister Utley)?  Which one looks like the late Fingers Taylor?

And if you’ve had a few margaritas, which one looks like the late, great Jimmy Buffett?

The name of the tribute band, “ULA," means warriors of the sea.

See you at The Venue on April 5.
