Caroleene Dobson won the Republican primary for Secretary of State on Tuesday.

Dobson received 65% of the vote with 41% of the votes in, according to the Associated Press. 

Christopher Christian Horn received 23%, and Glenda Jackson received 12% of the vote.

Dobson is a shareholder at Maynard Nexsen, specializing in natural resources, commercial finance and real estate law in Montgomery. She lost a congressional race against U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures (D-Mobile) in 2024.

Dobson will face Democrat Wayne Rogers in the general election. Current Secretary of State Wes Allen is running for lieutenant governor and isn’t seeking re-election.
