Alabama’s next monthly political think tank is Tuesday. The conservative group Center/Right holds a hybrid discussion session — in person or online  —  to discuss issues facing our state and nation.

Center/Right meets on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon via Zoom or at the law office of Bert Jordan—Wallace, Jordan, Ratliff in Birmingham 800 Shades Crest Parkway, suite 400.

The link to join the meeting by Zoom is here.

January’s featured guests are Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth, communications director of the Alabama Republican Party Jeannie Burniston and director of the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles Cam Ward.

Ainsworth will preview the 2025 regular legislative session, which begins February 4. He will also explain his plan to six-lane Interstate 65 from Tennessee to Mobile, Go Wide I-65.

Burniston will set the scene for the January 20 presidential inauguration and what Alabama attendees will be doing there.

Ward will update on improvements in the Alabama parole system and how it can improve recidivism.

Former Alabama GOP chair Marty Connors will moderate the Center/Right discussion.
