FOLEY — The American Legacy Co., also known as “The Trump Store” and Beach Dog Events are coming together to host a Charlie Kirk birthday celebration in Foley on October 14.

“We want to continue to encourage our community to come together to learn Biblical truth,” said Nikki Rye, owner of American Legacy Co. “We want them to be more educated, remember our history, remember who we are and our purpose.”

After hosting a candlelight vigil following the death of Kirk, Rye recognized a hunger for truth in Baldwin County.

“We wanted to host this event because we are deeply rooted in our faith and our community and we wanted to honor Charlie for his sacrifice,” she said.

The event will be at Foley’s Heritage Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be live worship music, featured speakers and representatives from all areas of Baldwin County. No vendors will be allowed at the event. Rye said this moment is about encouraging community members, not about making money.

“This is our future and if we don’t invest in our future, where will our future be?” Rye said.

One way to invest in the future, Rye said, is the Gulf Shores High School’s Turning Point USA chapter. The chapter’s leader, Coach Austin Boyd, will be one of the featured speakers.

American Legacy Co. will present Boyd with a check to help students attend America Fest 2025 in Phoenix, Ariz. The funds were raised from the sale of the “Freedom line” merchandise at the Gulf Shores store. Rye said 100% of proceeds from the line will go directly to the local chapter.

“These kids are the heart of our country and if we don’t invest in them, we’re going to keep leaning to the left and into evil,” Rye said. “And like the old saying goes, ‘It takes a village,’ to raise our children so we are here to support and encourage.”

Rye said she also wants citizens to recognize the importance of getting involved in local happenings. From council meetings to commission meetings, she said it is essential that people stay aware of what leaders are doing.

“This is our Baldwin County. This is our home. Let’s get together, protect it and let’s get involved,” she said.

Charlie Kirk was born in Chicago on Oct. 14, 1993. He would have turned 32 this year.

Everyone attending the event is asked to wear red in honor of Charlie Kirk. More information is available on the Facebook event page.
