People in Fairhope are praising the Lord for the latest announcement from Chick-fil-A.
The restaurant, known to serve what is called the “Lord’s Chicken,” will open in Fairhope.
The location will be the address of the former Ruby Tuesday, at the corner of Fairhope Avenue and Greeno Road.
Ruby Tuesday closed in early 2024 and the building was demolished this week.
Chick-fil-A will build a new restaurant, which residents are excited about. Some say their only concern is parking and having enough space to accommodate large crowds they expect to see when the restaurant opens in Spring 2026.
Chick-fil-A is known as the “Lord’s Chicken” because of the founder’s Christian values. The restaurants are always closed on Sunday to honor the Sabbath and founder S. Truett Cathy spoke about his mission for God frequently.
“From the beginning, Truett based his business on Biblical principles that he believed were also good business principles, and since 1982, our Corporate Purpose has guided all that we do,” the chain’s website states. “We keep our Purpose front and center because it helps us to steward our business and our work to positively influence everyone we meet. ‘To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.’ To live out our Purpose and honor Truett's legacy, we are focused on creating a culture of care, both at the Support Center and in our restaurants.”
