Speaker Pro-Tem Chris Pringle (R-Mobile) won reelection to House District 101 in a landslide with 86% of the vote.
Fox10 Mobile shows the results at 3,834 for Pringle and 622 for his primary opponent Tim Manning.
“I’m excited that voters overwhelmingly voted to make me the Republican nominee and send me back to Montgomery,” Pringle told 1819 News after the results came in. He then thanked his wife, Laura, and family for their support.
Pringle returned to the legislature in 2014, having previously served District 101 from 1994 until 2002. He has served as the House president pro tempore since 2022.
Pringle will face Dr. Joan Friedlander in the general election.
“I’m looking forward to the Fall campaign," he told 1819 News.
