On the last few episodes of "1819 News: The Podcast," host Bryan Dawson and his guests have urged Christians to get involved in politics and culture to ensure the future of their children and the country.
Last Wednesday, the podcast turned its attention to the church's role and its failures to address the issues of the day, including education, healthcare, prison reform, and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
"Modern evangelical pastors have been gelded, their balls have been cut off, and they sit in the pulpit that God has entrusted them with, and they're telling people they should not be involved in the political realm, they shouldn't care about cultural issues, which is crazy because these are not political and cultural issues," Dawson told guest Dr. Randy Brinson, chairman of the Christian Coalition of Alabama.
Brinson emphasized the church's vital role in combating the encroachment of leftist ideology.
"The only thing standing in between where we are now and the complete destruction of our civilization and Communist rule and dominance… is the American Evangelical Church," Brinson said. "We're not engaged in these things, but yet our enemies are engaged in this cultural fight across the world. They want to dominate the world. And the Communist, Marxist, Bolshevik, you know, atheist, godless, whatever you want to call them, they are acutely aware that the church is the only thing standing in the way. The problem is that the church doesn't know that."

Brinson said the rise of AI is already impacting today's youth with targeted algorithms designed to lead them astray.
"It's not just the AI; it's growth of AI. It's these algorithms that are telling kids how to do this… It'd take you to a website, and it'd say, 'Hey, let's look at your pictures.' And it'd pull up a picture maybe of your daughter… and say, 'Why don't you take all her clothes off?'… And you click that, and now she's naked… You may go to court and you say, 'I can't tell the difference if this is real or actually is AI generated.' So the solution to that is that you have a cause of action for the AI program to have that algorithm set up to entice them to do it to begin with."
