As officials in Bibb County continue to investigate and make arrests in a horrific child sex trafficking case, a U.S. Senate candidate with extensive credentials fighting anti-human trafficking operations is frustrated by the information that has come out.

Jared Hudson, a former Navy SEAL, law enforcement officer and founder of non-profit Covenant Rescue Group, said he is praying for the victims of the unimaginable crimes.

“As a father of three young girls, I’m horrified, heartbroken and holding my daughters closer than ever before,” Hudson said. “As a law enforcement officer, I’m grateful for the efforts of everyone with a badge involved in bringing down the crime ring. As the founder of a nonprofit created to wipe the scourge of human trafficking off the planet, I’m angry and more committed than ever to my mission. And as a former Navy SEAL, I will never stand idly by while evil exists in this world.”

Hudson said that a mission trip to Africa during his teenage years impacted him and changed his life's mission. After witnessing an elderly woman being beaten by a man, Hudson was told to stand back and not intervene. Since then, Hudson said he has vowed to protect those who need it.

Multiple suspects have been arrested in the Bibb County case. They are accused of holding small children, as young as two, in an underground bunker where they sold the children for sexual servitude and sexual acts.
