Following the terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year's Day that killed 15 people, many feared the violent event could be a part of a larger, organized effort to devastate the American homeland. However, while U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) believes that all evidence so far points to it being a "lone wolf" incident, he said it's still vital that any outside connections be ruled out.
"It appears that it was a lone wolf situation. One whack job has created just a mess for 14 families," Strong said Saturday on News Nation's "Dan Abrams Live. "You did mention a couple of colleges that were involved. There's another one from the University of Alabama, one from Auburn University, and we just reach out to those families. We know that they're devastated, but we've got to be sure that these dots don't connect to something else."
Whether or not a larger terrorist organization or plot currently exists in the U.S., Strong said the millions of illegal aliens let into America by the Biden administration certainly pose a threat to national security.
"Can you imagine what 15 million illegal aliens could do to this country?" he said. "I do believe that we've got a national threat at the southern border. We've got a new president come January the 20th to solve some of these problems."
