The Houston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dothan pastor Kenneth Glasgow, the half-brother of Al Sharpton, on Tuesday for unauthorized practice of law.

The arrest came one day after he filed a lawsuit to attempt to delay municipal elections in Dothan.

Glasgow alleged in his lawsuit on Monday that Houston County and State officials were denying incarcerated individuals who were “legal residents” of Dothan the right to vote.

Glasgow requested the court delay the municipal election set for Tuesday in Dothan. However, a Houston County Circuit Judge denied the request.

Glasgow pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion, mail fraud and drug conspiracy charges in 2023.
