A woman was arrested Saturday for stabbing a man because he didn’t want a relationship with her, Dothan Police said.
The incident occurred on Torino Drive, and police met the victim on Sunset Drive, which is roughly seven minutes away.
Police said the suspect, 19-year-old Tayla Thompson, of Headland, wanted a relationship with the victim. When she found out the victim didn’t reciprocate, investigators believe the conversation escalated, and she pulled out a knife.
The victim received lacerations in the face, hand and arm, but police said the wounds were not serious.
Thompson was charged with one count of second-degree assault and is being held with a bond of $15,000.
