The Dothan Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a shooting outside of a movie theater Monday night.
Jordan Makhai Caliste, 18, is charged with discharging a firearm into an unoccupied building and tampering with physical evidence.
Police responded around 8:30 p.m. after a gun was fired at the AMC 12 Theater on Montgomery Highway. They searched the area and secured the scene. No one was injured.
Witnesses told investigators a man was attempting to get into an R-rated movie but was denied access because he did not have an ID. That’s when he pulled out a gun and shot at an unoccupied building.
Caliste was placed in the Houston County Jail on bonds totaling $21,000.
