While forecasting storms over the weekend, a Dothan television meteorologist may have been unaware of a storm brewing in his personal life.
Andrew Clarke, of WDHN, was arrested just 30 minutes after he appeared on the news Saturday night. Clarke, 23, was charged with second-degree stalking, according to multiple reports.
Although WDHN has not responded to a media inquiry from 1819 News, the station has removed Clarke’s bio from its website, although his photo is still available.
According to multiple reports, Clarke was arrested after a woman claimed he followed her from her place of employment.
Stalking second-degree is a misdemeanor charge. Clarke is considered innocent until proven guilty.
Clarke graduated from Mississippi State in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Professional/Broadcast Meteorology. He worked as a freelance meteorologist for WRBL before graduating, then after earning his degree, was hired in June 2021 by WDHN. He is currently the weekend meteorologist.
