Indivisible Baldwin County, the local chapter of the group that plans "No Kings" rallies nationwide, plans to support one of the protesters arrested last October.
Jeanna Renae Gamble is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, violation of a municipal code and giving officers a false name.
Gamble was arrested after police were called to the area of Greeno Road near Fairhope Avenue, where passersby reported a possible traffic hazard. Gamble, dressed in a giant penis costume and holding a sign saying "No Dick Tator," refused to leave the location or remove the costume, police allege. Gamble's attorney says his client did not refuse to leave but asked if she was being detained. When Gamble attempted to walk away from the officer, he grabbed her from the back of the costume and took her to the ground before he and another officer placed her in handcuffs. During her arrest, Gamble told officers her name was "Antifa."

Gamble's attorney, David Gespass, said the First Amendment protected Gamble's costume and her actions. He said the officer had no right to order his client to leave the area.
Gamble is due for an appearance at 2 p.m. on April 1 in Fairhope Municipal Court. Indivisible Baldwin County is asking supporters to "bring a First Amendment-related sign and come stand erect for your free speech."
Gespass said the defense is grateful for support from both sides of the aisle.
"Democracy demands an engaged citizenry," Gespass told 1819 News. "It is not enough just to vote. The rights to speak out and to demand redress of grievances from government overreach are critical and we are both grateful and encouraged that so many, including many who disagree with Renea's position, are taking a stand in support of her rights."
Gamble is considered innocent until proven guilty.
