After the arrests of over 100 people at a Spring reak party, the Gulf Shores Police are warning beachgoers of the dangers of underage drinking.
Gulf Shores Police said the March 26 beach house party was not the first one where multiple individuals were charged with underage drinking. Just the day before, 33 people were arrested from a large house party in the 1300 block of West Beach Boulevard. Among the arrests were 31 charges of underage possession of alcohol, one charge of complicity, and one charge of resisting arrest. Police said they had been called to the location two days prior after receiving complaints. The person responsible for the rental was given a warning during that visit.
The next day, 109 individuals were arrested for underage possession of alcohol at a party in the 2400 block of West Beach Boulevard. Another person was charged with complicity.

“The Gulf Shores Police Department remains committed to maintaining a safe environment for both residents and visitors,” the Gulf Shores Police Department stated. “Large, unsupervised gatherings involving underage drinking create significant safety risks, strain public resources, and disrupt the peace of surrounding neighborhoods. These behaviors violate state law and will be addressed promptly and consistently.”
Gulf Shores leaders said the town is a family-friendly destination with a zero-tolerance stance towards underage drinking and drug use. There is an alcohol ban on public beaches through April 28.
