Gulf Shores City Council has announced several opportunities for residents to submit input on the future of the Sand in My Boots Music Festival.

The contract with AEG Presents, the company that has produced the Hangout Festival, which was renamed Sand in My Boots Festival this year, has expired after 15 years. The City is now reevaluating a future contract and seeks feedback from the community.

There are two online surveys available – one for residents and one for business owners. Online surveys will be open through June 4.

There is also a community input meeting scheduled for June 5 at the Gulf Shores Cultural Center. City officials will reveal the results of the online survey, and residents will be given the opportunity to address the council with their thoughts.

“Before we make any decision about the future of the Hangout/Sand In My Boots Music Festival, it’s essential that we hear from the people who live and work here,” said Mayor Robert Craft. “We want to fully understand how the event affects our residents and businesses, both positively and negatively. Your feedback is crucial to ensuring that any action we take reflects the best interests of our community.”

The public meeting will be at 6 p.m.
