
Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft said there will not be a Hangout Music Festival or Sand in My Boots Festival in 2026, but planning is already underway for a 2027 festival.

Gulf Shores City Council announced several opportunities for residents to submit input on the future of the Sand in My Boots Music Festival.

Some beach areas in Gulf Shores are closed as crews build stages and scenes for the 2025 Morgan Wallen’s Sand in My Boots Festival. The festival will be May 16 – 18 and replaces the long-running Hangout Festival.

The City of Gulf Shores is considering the future of one of the nation's most popular beach festivals.

The 2024 Hangout Music Fest this week is expected to attract around 40,000 people to the Alabama Gulf Coast this weekend. The festival begins Friday and goes through Sunday.

The city of Gulf Shores announced several traffic modifications that will be in place between May 8 and May 25 for the 2023 Hangout Music Festival.
