On Monday, one day before the Republican primary election kicks off across the state, President Donald Trump made a series of endorsements for Alabama candidates, vehemently voicing his support.
Long-time Trump supporter and current U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), who is vying to be Alabama’s next governor, received a hearty nod from the president. In his Truth Social post, Trump called the former Auburn football coach a “Lifelong Leader, both on and off the field.”
Next up, seeking to fill Tuberville’s soon-to-be-vacant seat in the U.S. Senate, current U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) received another glowing endorsement from Trump, who called Moore “an America First Patriot who has been with me from the very beginning.”

A number of sitting congressmen also received the nod from Trump: U.S. Reps. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville), Mike Rogers (R-Saks) and Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville). All received specific recognition of their respective contributions to the administration, including their committee actions, policy positions, and general support over the years.
Trump also chimed in on state politics, endorsing longtime supporter, former chairman of the Alabama Republican Party and current candidate for the state’s next lieutenant governor, John Wahl. In his endorsement, Trump credited Wahl with being with him “from the very beginning” and being “key to our many Republican Victories in the Great State of Alabama.”
