The Blount County Sheriff's Office released information on hundreds of shipment packages found in a ravine in the county.

Sheriff Mark Moon said 300 to 400 packages were found on private property. While teams were on the scene Wednesday night, Moon asked everyone to stay away from the area while the packages were sorted by FedEx officials.

FedEx brought in several additional trucks and drivers from all over the south, according to Moon. The trucks were expected to move the boxes early Thursday so a deputy had to stand guard overnight.

It is unclear how the packages ended up in a ravine.
