A man featured on "Takedown with Chris Hansen" was arrested in a Blount County sting.

Stanley Ambeyi, a 38-year-old illegal immigrant from Kenya, was arrested while possessing a machete, a gun, lubricant and condoms.

The suspect drove from Birmingham to Blount County at 2:30 a.m. to have sex with a 15-year-old girl after exchanging texts with an undercover deputy. He told the person he thought was a girl that he wanted to lick all over her body and stick his tongue in her butt to get her ready for sex.

Ambeyi said he would pay $150 and showed the money to the decoy when he arrived at the sting house.

When confronted by Hansen, Ambeyi said he was a mechanic in Bessemer and he learned his trade from YouTube.

Ambeyi said the machete was in his vehicle, but the other items, including a loaded handgun, were on his person. He told Hansen he had the weapons because Birmingham and Bessemer were dangerous.

Ambeyi was charged with human trafficking, electronic solicitation and traveling to meet a child to perform a sexual act. He told Hansen the arrest made him concerned about his immigration status.

The case will go to the grand jury in April.

Sheriff Mark Moon said it is a shame people come to live "the American dream" and commit crimes that ruin that opportunity.

"In the questioning, he admitted that, 'Yeah, I know that this is probably going to send me away from America,' eventually, when he gets out of prison," Moon said in the episode. "And it's sad that people would come to this great country with the hopes of, because you know this is the greatest country in the world and we have so many opportunities for so many people, and for him to understand that, to come here to want that American dream, to work hard. Obviously, he had been successful in some things."

"And then flushed it away with one night of extremely terrible choices," Moon added.
