A Democrat candidate for Alabama's fifth congressional district, who has previously identified himself as a proud member of the terror organization Antifa, delivered a profanity-ridden tirade at an event in Washington, D.C. on Friday.

In his remarks, Jeremy Devito, of Athens, labeled United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) employees as the "American Gestapo" and attacked President Donald Trump for "attempting to overthrow the fucking government."

"9/11 (September 11, 2001) also gave birth to the worst bastards this country has ever seen, the American Gestapo known as ICE. Fuck ICE," Devito yelled. "It's always and forever fuck ICE."

"We've lived through COVID and a first Trump presidency that attempted to overthrow the fucking government," continued Devito. "And now a second Trump presidency that once again welcomes fascism and lawlessness with open arms, open corruption, accepting bribes, deploying troops against American cities, kidnapping and deporting innocent people, routine violations of the public trust without fear of consequence."

Should Devito win the Democratic primary, he will be facing off against incumbent U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville).

The general election for the fifth congressional district will be held on November 3, 2026.
