Monday, Gov. Kay Ivey made her first public appearance following the circulation of "rumors" that she had been experiencing health issues.
She toured the new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math lab at Dalraida Elementary School in Montgomery.
According to AL.com, Ivey was asked, “In the last month, have you had any medical treatments or procedures?”
“Between the rumor mills and some of you guys in the media it seems like some of you just want to will these rumors into reality and existence,” she said. “But I assure you I am fine. Every day I give thanks to God for giving me a clean bill of health and I look forward to serving as governor for another four years. I enjoy being governor and if you see this innovation lab today, there is certainly more work to do. So I look forward to going full speed ahead.”

Following that response, the Governor was asked if she had any "medical procedures" requiring an overnight hospital stay, she doubled down.
"Between all the rumor mills and some of you guys in the media – it seems like some of you just want to will these rumors into being," she replied. "And that just isn't going to happen. I got a clean bill of health from the doctor. That's what matters, and I'm looking forward to serving four more years as your governor."
