Tuesday on Birmingham FM radio's "McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning," former Auburn and NFL quarterback Jason Campbell discussed his new role as radio analyst for the Auburn Sports Network, replacing another former Tigers star quarterback in Stan White.

Campbell, who started 40 games on the Plains and spent 10 years in the NFL, touted his new gig as "a special opportunity."

"[I]'m just thankful for the Auburn family to have this opportunity to be able to have this analyst role," Campbell said.

"I've been working with the [radio] team for the last six years as ... one of the pre-game analysts, and also I do the halftime report, but to now step into play-by-play calling along with Andy [Burcham], it's really a special opportunity to be able to be continually closer to the program. Also, with me working in the NIL space, I kind of know a lot of the guys from that standpoint, so being able to talk about them on air will make that an easier transition as well."

On Twitter, Campbell repeated the mantra that if "you love Auburn, Auburn will love you back."
