U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) announced Wednesday that his campaign released a new TV ad in his re-election bid to Alabama's first congressional district.

The ad follows a media buy announcement Carl made two weeks ago where he released his first ad, "Told Them," which was an introduction ad to his new voters since his district was re-drawn by the federal courts.

A statement from the campaign said the ad, entitled "Ask Me," focuses on Carl going toe-to-toe with Biden to hold him accountable for his failed leadership.

In the latest campaign ad, Carl is asked, "Is Biden really running the country?"

"He's running it into the ground," Carl responds. "We must stop him."

Unlike his previous intro ad, Carl mentions his priorities, which are fighting President Joe Biden and the liberal agenda, finishing building the wall and securing the border, protecting the sanctity of life, cutting inflation, and bringing jobs home from China.

The ad ends with former President Donald Trump saying, "Alabama is Jerry Carl."

The campaign said this ad is supported by a substantial amount and is in addition to the previous media buy. It will air across digital, cable and broadcast platforms.

Alabama's first congressional district race pits two sitting members of Congress against each other for the Republican primary. U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) announced in October he is running in the first district after the federal courts drew him out of the second congressional district he currently represents.

The Alabama Republican primary election is on March 5, 2024.
