Kids to Love, a non-profit supporting foster children in Alabama, is hosting its annual Christmas for Kids ornaments program.

The program gives foster children in north Alabama and south Tennessee a chance to have Christmas presents.

Kids to Love founder Lee Marshall said many times, children in foster care ask for basic items such as pajamas and other necessities. She said she hopes those needs can be fulfilled this year but also wants children to get the toys they want.

“We feel like Christmas is the one day out of the year that children in foster care don’t need to feel like they are in foster care,” Marshall said. “They deserve to have Christmas just like every other child.”

Those who want to help can pick up an ornament that lists an item on a child’s list. They return the ornament and unwrapped gift by December 4.

“It’s a massive undertaking,” Marshall added. “But it is so needed and it’s something that we are just passionate about.”

Ornaments can be picked up in north Alabama at Alabama Pediatric Dental Associates, Jack’s, Bridge Street Town Centre (Belk, Old Navy and Barnes & Noble) and Regions Bank locations.
