The Auburn Police Department is investigating after a person was injured during an investigation into a criminal trespass complaint.
Police responded to the 200 block of South Donahue Drive at 12:40 a.m. Officers discovered multiple individuals inside the building and attempted to detain them. However, police said a 22-year-old man fled the scene on foot.
"During the ensuing foot pursuit, the individual fell from a significant height and sustained serious injuries," police stated. "Officers immediately rendered medical aid and initiated life-saving measures."
The Auburn Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services also responded.
The man was air-lifted to the hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
