Alabama's only manufacturing association committed to legislative, regulatory, operational and competitive interests has endorsed Caroleene Dobson in Alabama's second congressional district race.

Manufacture Alabama believes Dobson, a Montgomery attorney, wife and mother of two, has what it takes to bring opportunity to the newly drawn district.

"Manufacture Alabama seeks to endorse pro-business candidates who will advocate on behalf of manufacturers in Alabama," the association's president, John Barganier, said in a statement. "Caroleene embodies these qualities and has the tenacity and experience we need representing Alabama's Congressional District 2 in Washington D.C. Caroleene has the work ethic, energy and vision required to ensure Alabama will be a place where manufacturing will continue to thrive and our residents will have the opportunity to live and work for future generations."

Dobson grew up in Beatrice and practices real estate law at Maynard Nexsen.

"Alabama's economy is built on the foundation that manufacturing provides, and countless individuals and families throughout the Second Congressional District depend upon the industry for jobs and opportunities," Dobson said. "As a member of Congress, I will work hard to create a pro-business atmosphere that allows Alabama's manufacturing sector to grow, thrive, and expand while, at the same time, fighting unfair competition and trade practices both at home and abroad."

Manufacture Alabama said Doson represents a diverse clientele and has spent her career advocating for others.

Manufacture Alabama previously endorsed U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery), Secretary of State Wes Allen and Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth.
