Alexander City voters will decide on Tuesday whether they’ll stick with Mayor Woody Baird or go with challenger Mike Densmore.

Baird and Densmore will vie for support in Alexander City’s mayoral runoff election after neither candidate initially received 50% in last month’s municipal election.

Baird said, “The future of our community is in your hands, and I’m asking for your support. Over 20 years in the military, I held a top-secret clearance that proved my honesty and trustworthiness. For 23 years, I built a successful business here through customer service and hard work, even during tough economic times.”

“Don’t be misled by misinformation or propaganda. My record as mayor speaks for itself: progress, growth, and a vision for a stronger future. I need everyone who voted for me before, and more, to show up tomorrow. This race will be close, and every vote matters. Stay the course, re-elect me as your mayor, and let’s keep moving Alexander City forward,” Baird said.

Densmore said, “Alex City — it’s time for change, and tomorrow we can make it happen.”

“I’ve spent my life leading in education, business, and ministry. Now, I’m ready to put that steady, honest leadership to work for you. Vote Mike Densmore and let’s move Alex City forward together,” Densmore said.
