College sports come to a halt during the summer months, and as a result, talking heads tend to rank rivalries and all-time players.
This week, Jason Spor and Landon McBride, hosts of "Locked on Mississippi State," voiced their displeasure with The Athletic ranking the iconic Iron Bowl as the second-best rivalry in college football.
Spor deemed the annual Auburn-Alabama game, which began in 1893 and has been renewed annually since 1948, as "the most overrated rivalry in all of sports."
"I think it's the most overrated rivalry in all of sports," Spor proclaimed. "That might be a hot take, but I wouldn't have Auburn and Alabama in my top 15 of rivalries."

McBride agreed, adding, "It's very overrated. ... It's just a hard one because everyone remembers like the two or three big moments that have happened in the last 30 years, and besides that, it's been a pretty boring rivalry."

The two hosts went on to lament that the ranking had the Egg Bowl, Mississippi State's rivalry with Ole Miss, at No. 23.
