A town hall meeting on gun violence in Mobile will be held on March 13.
Mobile’s public safety department and a community advisory panel are hosting the town hall to address public concerns.
Executive Director of Public Safety Rob Lasky and Police Chief William Jackson will lead the discussion. Dr. Ashley Williams Hogue from USA Health will also be a part of the panel.
Members of the public will be able to engage with leaders about gun violence and collaborate on possible solutions.
“By coming together as a community, I am hopeful that we can empower our youth to understand that they don’t need violence to address their problems,” said Mayor Sandy Stimpson.
Information on current initiatives to reduce gun violence will be discussed.
The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church.
