According to a press release, Johnson Abernathy Graetz (JAG) High School in Montgomery held classes virtually on Wednesday and Thursday due to “a COVID-19 outbreak.”

The school said many teachers were diagnosed with COVID-19, which led to the decision to close.

The school was sanitized during the closing, and administrators hoped to reopen Friday.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your support as we work together to ensure a safe return for all JAG Jaguars,” the press release stated.

In the meantime, students and parents had to reacclimate themselves to Schoology, a computer and internet-based classroom.

The school said masks and wipes will be provided when school reopens.

JAG High School, formerly known as Jefferson Davis High School, is in the Montgomery Public School system.
