Fine Geddie & Associates, a lobbying firm in Montgomery, announced on Friday that it hired Preston Cauthen.
Bob Geddie, a founding partner at Fine Geddie, said in a memo to clients on Friday, “Preston comes to us from Alabama Power Company where he served as a Constituent Relations Manager. In this role, he worked with all aspects of state government. Preston began with Alabama Power Company in 2014 and has worked in Governmental Affairs since joining the company. He began his career with the City of Montgomery after completing an internship with PowerSouth Energy Cooperative in their External Affairs department.”
“Preston holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from Auburn University Montgomery. He and his wife, Alyson, currently reside in Montgomery with their daughter,” Geddie added. “We have known Preston Cauthen all his life, watched him grow and have worked with him as a client of the firm. He brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of governmental decision making in Alabama. Preston has demonstrated the skills and professional values necessary to provide the level of quality representation our clients expect. We believe he is a natural fit for the Fine Geddie team.”
Wesley Britt, the husband of U.S. Sen Katie Britt (R-Montgomery), recently left Fine Geddie to join 68 Ventures as executive vice president.
