The National Association for Gun Rights PAC announced its endorsement of a slate of pro-gun candidates in Alabama who have pledged to fight for the right to keep and bear arms without compromise on Tuesday.

“Alabama gun owners have been sold the lie for too long that because Alabama is a red state, their Second Amendment rights are safe,” said Dudley Brown, president of the National Association for Gun Rights, told 1819 News in a statement. “The truth is, Alabama has some of the worst gun laws of any red state in the country, and it is going to take hard-nosed, no-compromise fighters to clean up the mess in Montgomery.”

National Association for Gun Rights PAC partnered with BamaCarry on the candidate survey process, which the group credits with streamlining the endorsement process.

“BamaCarry did tremendous work helping identify candidates who are not just talking a good game, but are willing to publicly commit to a 100% pro-gun agenda,” Brown continued. “That matters. Because when the pressure comes from the Montgomery Swamp, vague campaign slogans will not protect your rights. Written commitments and voting records will.”

The endorsements are as follows:

Lieutenant Governor

John Wahl

Alabama State Senate:

SD4 — J.R. Bowling

SD13 — Gerald Dial

SD21 — Gerald Allen

SD34 — Rusty Glover

Alabama State House:

HD20 — Mo Brooks

HD40 — Kaycee Cavender

HD43 — Arnold Mooney

HD96 — Danielle Duggar

HD101 — Tim Manning

HD102 — Shane Stringer

“These are candidates who understand that the Second Amendment is not up for negotiation. Not in Washington. Not in Montgomery. Not anywhere,” Brown said.

National Association for Gun Rights PAC's endorsements follow those from BamaCarry and the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund.
