A 2014 BBC live poll found that 95% of viewers believed multiculturalism was not working in the UK.

That shockingly one-sided result came in the wake of a massive child abuse scandal, where the city of Rotherham, situated in the heart of England, played host to organized Pakistani gangs who “raped, trafficked, abducted, beat … and intimidated” at least 1,400 English girls over a roughly 15-year period. Some of the victims were as young as 11.

More shocking than the crimes themselves was the fact that almost no arrests were made at the time, and local authorities largely ignored reports and complaints.

A 2014 study finally brought the following barbaric and degenerate acts to the public eye. Girls were lured from their homes and trafficked across England. To ensure their silence, some victims were dowsed in gasoline and threatened with being set alight by their tormentors. Others were forced to witness brutal rapes and told that if they went to the police, they would be next.

The underwhelming police response sparked a national controversy after it was discovered that both the victims and the authorities were weary of identifying and cracking down on the attackers. They were worried of being labeled as racists or Islamophobes. It was not politically correct to point out that the gangs were composed of Muslim men of Eastern origin … even though it was correct.

In the years since, Eastern importation has continued in England. As of 2021, White British – those identifying as English, Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, Northern Irish, or British – make up only 37% of London’s population, down from roughly 90% in 1971.

The number of Muslims also increased by 1.2 million from 2011 to 2021, now numbering 3.9 million in England. I have not done exhaustive research on the topic, but anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that Islam’s rise in the traditionally Christian nation is fueled by increased Eastern immigration and crumbling churches. I recently saw a video on social media where a Muslim bragged about purchasing empty Christian churches and converting them to mosques. Another video saw a white British boy converting to Islam, to the delight of a large Arab crowd.

You can observe this phenomenon across the whole of Europe. These newcomers have no interest in assimilating. On the contrary, they want to assimilate the West. No better illustration exists than the ongoing controversy surrounding Islamic headscarves in France. Following their constitutional principle of laïcité (strict governmental secularism), France bans women from wearing hijabs in public. This does not sit well with the nation’s growing Islamic population, who refuse to adopt the nation’s tenets of liberté, égalité, fraternité, and laïcité.

Who knew that mixing people with fundamentally different views on everything would cause problems?

I do not know why Europe’s leaders insist on continuing mass immigration, given the problems it has caused. I also do not know why the West alone must take people in. There aren’t any calls to pack Tokyo with the white man, after all.

Why does all this matter? Because we, in America, are facing a similar issue. As we continue to grapple with our own open border and an influx of non-Westerners, Europe serves as a magic mirror of sorts – a vision of our future. Europe’s globalist chickens are coming home to roost, and people are not happy. Even Henry Kissinger, in a rare lucid moment, admitted that Europe accepting millions of migrants was a “grave mistake.”

Thus, it seems we can either learn from Europe’s example and prevent problems now … or wait and learn as England and others have – the hard way.
