Three suspects, including two former prison employees, were arrested this week after allegedly being caught in possession of pounds of illegal drugs, guns, drones and other contraband.

On Monday, the Narcotics and K-9 Units of the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Law Enforcement Services Division (LESD) and the Cullman County Sheriff's Department executed search warrants at the residence of James and Sophia Chambers in Cullman County.

ADOC stated James Chambers is a former employee at Limestone Correctional Facility. However, it is unclear when his employment ended.

The search yielded approximately 1.4 pounds of methamphetamine, approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana, five firearms and 10 drones.

Both James and Sophia Chambers were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and first-degree possession of marijuana.

The investigation also resulted in the arrest of former Limestone Correctional Officer Becca Marsh. ADOC did not state when Marsh's employment ended.

ADOC agents confiscated approximately 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine at her residence. She was transported to the Limestone County Jail and charged with using an official position for personal gain.

"Stopping the flow of illegal contraband into ADOC facilities is critical to reducing drug abuse, overdoses, and inmate violence," said ADOC Commissioner John Hamm.
