U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is leaning towards running to be Alabama’s next governor in 2026.
According to Punchbowl News, Tuberville is telling senators and associates he wants to run for governor in 2026 instead of seeking another term in the Senate.

Tuberville told the outlet he’ll decide by May which office he’ll pursue. Gov. Kay Ivey is term-limited from running for re-election.
