It’s named “The Biggest Party in the South.”
It’s like a musical heaven come to Alabama.
It’s been going on for 13 years, since 2012.
It’s been getting bigger and better.
“Rock the South 2025" starts next Thursday and runs from June 19-21 at York Farms in Cullman, close to Interstate 65, which can become a parking lot on any given weekend.
On Rock the South weekend, I-65 will be as busy as it has ever been. Come another way. Come on, 231, and cut over. Come on 31. Anything but I-65. Even on alternate routes, expect heavy traffic.
The stellar list of artists performing this year and photos can be found here.
Tickets are still available here.
Headlining Thursday night is longtime Cullman resident Hank Williams. Jr.
Headlining Friday is Kid Rock.
Headlining Saturday in Nickelback.
There’s something to be said about the spirit of this festival. Despite the rowdiness, the crowds, the traffic, the (few) arrests, the heat and the overpriced beer that people complain about year after year, this festival started to bring our community together after a devastating tornado, and they never stopped caring about the community they love. They keep giving back. And they, the concertgoers, keep coming back. People keep coming back to hear that country twang. People keep coming back to that humble farm out in the county. People keep coming back to invest in our community. People keep coming back to party like you can only do in the Deep South.
People keep coming back to our town.
