On Thursday morning, the Decatur City Council held a special meeting to address a proposed multi-million dollar 'investment' into a major country music festival coming to The Fields at Decatur, just outside the North Alabama city's limits.

The “Biggest Party in the South” will include some of the biggest names in country music.

Rock the South announced on Thursday that it will be moving from Cullman to Decatur in 2026.

The producers of the legendary three-day country festival Rock the South are bringing country music across the nation.

After his impassioned song “Rich Men North of Richmond” went viral earlier this year, alt-country guitarist and singer Oliver Anthony is set to perform at Cullman’s Rock the South in 2024.

There are many things that put the "sweet" in "Sweet Home Alabama," but among them are the good times we enjoy with our friends and family in the state. Often overlooked by surrounding metro areas and cultural regions known for their unique music, food and entertainment industries like New Orleans, Nashville and Atlanta, it's easy for us to underappreciate the talent we have right here in Alabama.

One of Alabama’s most popular music festivals will now be three days long.
