Samford head football coach Chris Hatcher brought in experienced players on the first day of the NCAA Early Signing Period. It was the second year in a row that Hatcher chose to build the bulk of his recruiting class through the transfer portal and junior college players.

Hatcher signed 15 players on Wednesday with six coming through the transfer portal and three coming out of junior college. Adding some offensive lineman was a focus with Samford adding four big guys up front.
