A certified flight instructor at Sanders Aviation's Jasper campus was among three killed in a plane crash in Montana.

Lainey Anderson was a passenger in a twin-engine Aztec with her father and sister when the plane crashed in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

All on board were killed.

Mark Anderson was identified as the pilot. Ellie, the youngest daughter, was identified as the second passenger, as well as their dog, Stella. The family was on vacation.

Sanders Aviation confirmed the tragedy, saying the plane experienced engine problems before going down in the remote area.

“Lainey graduated from Auburn University’s Professional Flight program, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity,” Sanders Aviation stated. “Lainey was an exceptional and skilled aviator and a beloved flight instructor at our Jasper Campus. She was dedicated to her craft and students.”

Ellie Anderson was a camp counselor and Huntsville High School senior.

Sanders Aviation also asked for prayers for the wife and mother, Misty Anderson.
