The search is on for a lost crown of a past Mardi Gras queen from a parade in Mobile.
Saturday, a long-time Mardi Gras society had its annual parade in downtown Mobile. The Mystics of Time had a float featuring its past Mardi queens. Those queens of yesteryear wear crowns from yesteryear.
After the parade was over, one of the beloved crowns was missing.
A plea was posted on Facebook by several Mobilians, saying, "This crown was lost off of the MOT Past Queens float Saturday night. I assure you that it is worth far more to the person that lost it than it possibly could to anyone else. If you find it, please take it to a local MPD precinct or to the Kennedy-Cox House on Government Street. Or notify a local News station."
