SEC Network analyst and radio show host Cole Cubelic says "don't count out the Tide" in the upcoming football season.

Alabama lost Heisman-winning quarterback Bryce Young and is without a clear front-runner to replace him, but Cubelic is still bullish on the rest of the Crimson Tide's roster. The former Auburn center agreed with ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit's belief that Alabama should be the favorite to win the national championship next season.

“There are multiple best players at their position in this league playing for Alabama,” Cubelic argued. "But just because quarterback is a pretty big question mark, and a lot of people are uncertain how that’s going to play out, now people are saying, 'Oh, they can’t win 10 games, or they’re not going to win the West, or they can't go to the playoff.'”

“I think Herbie has been doing his homework," he added.

With Georgia looking to three-peat and many questioning if Tide head coach Nick Saban can keep up with his former assistant Kirby Smart, Cubelic said not to count them out yet and pointed at Alabama's depth.

"Does it take an elite quarterback to win the national title?” he asked, arguing last season's best quarterback, USC's Caleb Williams, couldn't even make it into the playoff.

"[W]e’ve been telling you on this show for a while don’t count out the Tide," Cubelic concluded.
