Montgomery real estate attorney Caroleene Dobson, who is running for the second congressional district, is calling for the firing of Harvard University president Claudine Gay.
Just two days after Harvard’s board said they would keep Gay despite antisemitic comments, Dobson said she saw for herself the liberal agenda served on campus.
“The extremists who control Harvard are entirely intolerant of Judeo-Christian faith and cheer violence against Jews by Palestinian Hamas terrorists,” said Dobson. “I accepted the opportunity to attend Harvard when offered, but as a lifelong conservative Republican, I witnessed firsthand that free speech on that campus applies only to those with the most extreme leftist beliefs, and incidents like this illustrate why.”
Dobson said Gay should have been fired as soon as she made controversial comments about the genocide of the Jewish people.
“We have a saying in the South about not letting the door hit you in the behind on the way out, and that’s what Harvard should have told Claudine Gay,” Dobson added. “The woke elements in our society demand strict deference to every group they consider disenfranchised, but if you believe in the Bible, pray to God, and embrace conservative values, those same leftists attack you with hate, violence, and vitriol, often with the full support of the liberal mainstream media.”
Gay is also facing multiple allegations of plagiarism.
Dobson vowed to go against “liberal lunacy and woke virtue” if elected to Congress. She earned her history and literature degree at Harvard and later went to Baylor University Law School.
Primary elections for both parties will be held on March 5, 2024, with a possible runoff election on April 16, 2024.
Dobson will face State Sen. Greg Albritton (R-Atmore), former State Sen. Dick Brewbaker (R-Montgomery), Karle DuPriest, Wallace Gilberry, Hampton Harris, Stacey Shepperson and Belinda Thomas for the GOP nomination.
The major party primaries are on March 5.
