During a recent appearance on Newsmax TV, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) downplayed the role both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are playing in the federal government.
Alabama's senior U.S. Senator responded to concerns about Biden finishing his term by saying that Biden had not been president for the entirety of his term. Tuberville said both Biden and Harris were just figureheads for the deep state, which was really controlling the government.
"[Biden] is going to be president in name only because he hasn't been president the last three-and-a-half years," he said. "The deep state machine has been behind him, making all of the decisions. He hasn't made a decision up there. Nor has Kamala Harris. They're figureheads. They work for the socialist, Marxist one-world government group. That's all it is up here. You can see the deep state just grinding right now, just trying to get everything in line, and start lying on national television with the media, who they've now got deep in their pockets."
"We've got 103 days until the election," Tuberville continued. "The only one qualified right now to be president of the United States is President Donald Trump. And I think the American people are going to recognize that with all the shenanigans that have gone on. We had three good years with President Trump and then COVID hit. We need to give him four more years to get this country back on track."
