State Sen. Jabo Waggoner (R-Vestavia Hills) is still deciding on whether he’ll run for re-election in 2026.
Waggoner, the Rules Committee chair, is currently serving his eighth term in the Senate.
“The work is not done. We still have a year left in this quadrennium, and I’m committed to spending it fighting for the conservative values that matter to Alabama and doing everything I can to make District 16 even better,” Waggoner told 1819 News recently. “In every election, my hope has been to serve the people of Alabama—and right now, I’m taking time to talk with my family and seek God’s guidance on what that service should look like in the next election cycle.”
