U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) said Democrats failed to learn their lesson after President Joe Biden's flip-flop on pardoning his son, Hunter, drew backlash from both sides of the political aisle. Strong predicted massive gains for Republicans in Congress if the Democrats remain on their current course.
"[Biden] told the American people, 'I will not pardon my son.' It's another lie to the American people," Strong said Thursday on Newsmax's "Wake Up America." "This is what this administration has been about, misguiding the people of America, looking straight into the camera and lying to them. And the thing is, I don't believe they've learned from it."
He continued, "They're fighting right now amongst themselves. They still are wanting to attack Donald Trump. It doesn't work. If they keep this up, I'm excited because midterm, we'll have a 20- to 30-seat majority in the House of Representatives, if they keep this up."
Strong said Trump's resounding election victory on November 5 proved voters could see through Democrats' "lies" and that Trump would bring revolutionary change.
"This is what they do continuously. They lie to the American people. They try to put a spin on it, and the media is part of it. They have joined him in this process, but the American people have seen straight through it. You look at what Donald Trump did; he swept every swing state. And this is what we're going through. The revolution has begun already because Donald Trump is coming, and January 20 can't get here soon enough."
